"The work of the artist is no light matter. Few have the courage and stamina to see it through. You have to make up your mind to be alone in many ways. We like sympathy and we like to be in company. It is easier than going it alone but alone one gets acquainted with himself, grows up and on, not stopping with the crowd. It costs to do this. If you succeed you may have to pay for it as well as enjoy it all your life. You can do anything you want to do. What is rare is actually wanting to do a specific thing. Wanting it so much you are practically blind to all other things, so that nothing else will satisfy you. There is reason for you to give this statement some of your best thought. You may find that this is just what is the matter with most of the people in the world; that few are really wanting what they think they want and that most people go through their lives without ever doing one whole thing they really want to do."- Robert Henri

Early Stages Hand Study/Sketch

*Needs a whole lot more refining, but I guess it's decent considering that I didn't sleep at all the night prior to this morning when I did this! Is there a cure for insomnia? anyone?

Have a little faith? no, Have unbreakable faith

"We learn and continue to grow along the way in life.  None of us truely "know" where we'll wind up or if we'll make it to our anticipated and long awaited destinations.  None of us know if we'll make it to that place we so often refer to as "success".  All we can and should do is pray and believe that we'll arrive at the correct place at the appointed time. As people we can't afford to let anyone or anything break our faith."-My thoughts at 6:16AM, Saturday March 6, 2010

Street Art in the Bay

Some random artwork I happen across in my city *San Francisco*& Oakland

This is some artwork on the outside of the Original Covenant House Building in Oakland that was later turned into a top notch music recording, music producing, video producing, dance theater, etc. (The list goes on) center.  There I met with some great people, one man by the name of Galen Peterson (the Music Program Director and Unity Project Coordinator) The story and accomplishments of this man are amazing.  You can check out the Art In Action website at: www.artinactionworld.org
